Hello there and welcome to my blog. I do hope you find this content useful. I aim to add value by creating little tips that you can take away and utilise to make your styling journey that little bit easier. I’ll begin by talking about one of the autumn trends – Beige!
Well beige and even more beige is spilling out of shop doorways and there are so many shades to choose from! My job, as your style consultant, is not to necessarily steer you away from the shade (thats if you’re thinking how do you wear it and dread the thought of it); but to show you ‘what to do’ with what you buy. Or if you have bought in the past and don’t know how to wear it, I can show you. Beige, stone, taupe; they’re all light neutrals and some of us will be able to wear them next to our face and look sensational. Others not so much.
I’m not suggesting that you throw away perfectly good clothes out of your wardrobe. What I do talk about during a colour consultation, is ‘rescuing’ shades that possibly aren’t your best. Here’s a quick rundown on a few fashion colours that you can put with your beiges:
Lights – you wear this colour beautifully. Keep everything light and delicate by teaming it with dusty pink.
Deeps – you may find that this colour drains you so add some depth by way of a forest green scarf.
Warms – definitely a good neutral for you but add a medium tone such as olive for maximum impact.
Cools – you are going to need to add contrast to your beiges. Purple is a wonderful colour and will do the job.
Clears – Just like the other strong palettes, you need something dramatic for balance, so try scarlet.
Softs – Enjoy all of the beige shades, add a similar tone such as pewter for a very luxe look.
It’s easy when you know how!
Enjoy your beige.
Love and light
